Hola frands,

Since i'll probably be playing the new server, i figured i'd buy a new computer. What part of the computer should I focus on when considering playing l2? Is it the graphic card? the processor?

thanks.

60gb for system/l2 is more then enough, and if it comes to gpu it just shouldn't be wooden (so it wont bottleneck cpu), cuz most likely modern graphic cards will stay idle while playing l2 Cheesy

like kornes said ssd 60gb for system and l2, cpu with as much ghz as you can + 4gb ram to avoid loadings after tp, graphic card can be for 20euro and its ok for GF.

Solid Mobo and PSU + what kornez said above

Voltage section should have at least 8 phases for cpu and 2 for ram, and ofc they should have solid heatsink
PSU with at least 400W at 12V rail from best brands like OCZ, Corsair, XFX

if ur building new PC and think only about L2 pick some passive GPU or very quiet and cold like some hd 7570

Thanks a lot you guys, very helpful even tho i didn' really understand the 8 phases right off the bat. I do know operational amplifier and logical gates but i wouldn't know how to calculate the Vout tensions in this circuit. how can u tell it won't be enough?

i'll look into that in detail tomorrow based on you recommandations.

Just get what i recomended and be happy, everything else woul't give even 5% diference in FPS even with 4 time price diference, also don't take processors on ivy bridge, they are harder to OC and their work temperature is higher. same going 2.6k wont give any advantage except HT that total useles for playing l2. As for me i have good MSI motherboard with 10 year varanty and good OC options  +everything also not bad, since i dont use pc only for l2. At Tauti update at last siege like 100x100 i had fps 15-25 with no SSD. In gracia final last time i played on this PC i was 5 boxing and doing siege 200x200+ without any lags from PC side, FPS was very high even on full resolution, but that time i had 17 inch monitor, now it is 23,5 and FPS kinda much lower.

you can move users folder to the other disk to save a lot GBs, but it will also slow down system sometimes.

win xp FTW ;p

OT: i wouldnt ever take MSI mobo for OC purpose, almost every AM3 and a lot lga 1155 are failures with their bad power stages
